Balance exists everywhere throughout the known universe. Google defined balance as "a condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions." This condition is sought out by nature, science, life, and everything else. Don't believe me? Just look around and, I guarantee you can find this condition being met in your current environment. Even if you don't recognize it in your environment, you should be able to recognize it in yourself. Still having trouble seeing it? No worries, let me list a few of the ways that balance can be seen around us. 

In physics, Newton's third law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction; while in chemistry, we continuously seek to balance equations. And we spend years in math classes finding the solution that would make both sides of the problem equal. Gravity at the center of the Earth pulls from all directions equally, meaning we all are relatively equidistant to the core of the planet. 

But it doesn't stop there, a lack of balance in architecture can cause a structure to collapse upon itself. A chemical imbalance in your brain is the recipe for mental illness, and an unbalanced diet leads to a gut with varied physical ailments to accompany it. Be wary of your work-life balance or get ready for all the stress coming your way. This is why almost every religion or philosophy has the concept of balance within it. Whether you call it karma, the Golden rule, the law of attraction, or love thy neighbor as thyself, you are referring to giving what you seek to receive. Even the scales of Justice are held by a blind woman so that all are treated equally.
